Groomers and Bathers

Andrea Bohdiewicz

Andrea Bohdiewicz

Andrea found her love for animals when she caught her first frog at the age of 3. From that point on, it was all downhill. She began riding horses when she was 7 years old, and just a couple of years later, started a long journey of training and competing with her own horses. She has won many championships in Hunter Jumper and Equitation divisions. Eleven years later, she ventured off to Becker College in Leicester, MA, where she earned her Associates Degree in Animal Science in 2002. During her time there, she did her externship under Sue Zecco, one of the top animal groomers in the country. Andrea has been grooming since 2000, and in that time, has competed in two grooming competitions, placing in the top 3 in both, in the Standard Poodle Division. She has been grooming at the Gardner Animal Care Center since 2005 and we are very happy to have her here.

In her spare time, she still enjoys training horses, currently a Quarter Horse named Prize, and Percheron Gelding named Yankee. She also has a great love for four-wheeling, fishing, sky diving, and riding her 2006 Yamaha R6 street bike. Andrea's home, in Oakham, is owned by a Golden Retriever named Tanner and a Standard Poodle named May Bug, who in their spare time enjoy playing ball, going for car rides and playing with their 2 pet hermit crabs, Bobbie and Bianca.
